If you do not have a PSB05 on file with the PSB that specifically has "Bond Forfeiture Apprehension Coverage" marked with an X you are breaking the law and that activity is most likely EXCLUDED from coverage in your policy. You are not covered to perform Fugitive Apprehensions. PI General Liabilty is not by itself sufficient coverage.
If you are operating as a Private Investigator and not carrying the extra coverage as shown below in the cutout of our PSB05 form, you are operating as an unlicensed company and subject to the fines and rules of the PSB.
If you do business with a PI who is performing Fugitive Apprehensions and they are not insured for that service, you can face fines and legal consequences as well specificaly, It is punishable by a State Jail Felony.

Of significant importance to Bail Bond Professionals is the clause under Sec. 1702.3863. UNAUTHORIZED CONTRACT WITH BAIL BOND SURETY; OFFENSE. that specifically prohibits contracting with unlicensed individuals. It is punishable by a State Jail Felony, which obviously could result in the loss of bonding privileges. You better know who you are contracting with and they better be legal.
§1702.124. INSURANCE REQUIREMENT
(b) The general liability insurance policy must be conditioned to pay on behalf of the license holder damages that the license holder becomes legally obligated to pay because of bodily injury, property damage, or personal injury, caused by an event involving the principal, or an
